Mark calculation

The thesis is evaluated on contents presentation and defense. The evaluation is expressed out of 110. Students pass the final degree exam if they obtain a mark of at least 66.

Master’s Degree mark = M * 110/30 + F + L + T

Master’s Degree mark out of 110

M = grade point average of the last two years examinations and the weighted average for the number of credits of each examination

F = up to 7 marks for the graduation exam

L = For exams cum laude 2 points maximum: 1 point for exams with 9 or 12 credits; 1 point for two exams with 6 credits.

T = 1 mark if the student takes the last examination within two academic years of the enrollment year.

The Board can unanimously award “lode” (cum laude) as a special distinction, starting from a base mark of 104.

M * 110/30 + L + T >=104
